Odette the 2 yr old Belgian Malinois of the Royal Australian Air Force joined 2ballerinas Intermediate class this week.
She was fascinated by both the music and the movement of the ladies, and enjoyed being in and around the studios.
Odette is under the care of Michelle (who recently started back at ballet after 20 years) and her partner Ian. Her official title is Royal Australian Air Force Brood Bitch Odette (MWD Odette) and she is part of the breeding program because of her strong prey and defence drive, intelligence and size. Odette has recently broken an Australian record whelping 14 healthy pups into the MWD program.
Odette lives with Michelle and Ian who do training and drive exercises, environmental stimulation and desensitisation exercises. They have been doing volunteer work fostering puppies and dogs for the RAAF for 6 years, and have fostered 14 German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds.
Thanks to Michelle and Ian for bringing her in to 2ballerinas!
Another great day of workshops with Tracey Carrodus for Technique and Kimberley Davis for Repertoire (Giselle and Les Sylphides). The response was so great that we are planning more for February and others throughout 2013.
Here’s a random selection of photos!
