Michelle Giammichele and Jane Murphy from 2ballerinas were guests at a special VIP Dinner recently to celebrate the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s 25th Anniversary. Michelle has a very long and rich association with QPAC, spanning the entire length of its history in fact. Michelle danced for the Queensland Ballet for the Opening Celebrations at QPAC in 1985. Over her 20 year career with the Queensland Ballet, Michelle danced many times on the Lyric Theatre stage for a huge range of Queensland Ballet productions and for other Gala international events. When Michelle retired from her dancing career, she was then invited to act as a Trustee on the QPAC Board from 2001 to 2002. Michelle left the QPAC Board to travel and live abroad in London with her husband Tony Giammichele.
Jane also has a long association with QPAC (though not quite as long as Michelle!) as a Marketing Manager for a range of state arts organisations including – Queensland Ballet, Opera Queensland and Riverfestival.
Photos depict Michelle and Jane living it up at the very elegant QPAC Dinner with key QPAC management, QPAC Trustees (both past and present) and the loyal staff who have worked at the centre for the whole 25 years. It was a wonderful evening of celebration of the amazing achievements of QPAC and its loyal management, staff and Trustees.
